Jesse McCartney Pre-Grammy Partier

Jesse McCartney hit up a Pre-Grammy party at STK restaurant and club on Friday night in West Hollywood. Photo: INF. J-14 just spoke to Jesse about his Grammy nod! How does it feel to be nominated for a Grammy?

I'm just so thrilled. It's amazing for us and for Leona. It's the Grammy awards.
It's one of the biggest and more prestigious nights for the music industry and everyone and their mother will be there, so it's going to be cool.

What will go through your head when they're about to announce the winner in your category? I'm sure that I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat a little bit!

How did you find out about the nomination? It's funny, I was on tour and traveling a lot with Katy Perry because she was on the same route. We found out simultaneously that she got nominated and that 'Bleeding Love' got nominated. It was a big night!

Gossip Girl Spoilers: More On "The Kiss"

E! Online is weighing in on the already-infamous Nate-Blair kiss - one that has not even occurred yet, but photos from the Gossip Girl set make plain as day.

As has been hinted and rumored for weeks, a core couple is indeed reuniting on Gossip Girl. That cat is now out of the bag thanks to pics like the one below.

But what does this mean for the epic romance that is Blair and Chuck (Ed Westwick)? And why the heck are Nate and Blair kissing again right now anyway?

Gossip Girl sources say that unlike Blair and Chuck's deep (and at times adversarial) passion, a renewed Blair and Nate coupling is about familiarity and comfort.

Pictures of Chace Crawford (Nate) and Leighton Meester (Blair) kissing on the Gossip Girl set this week have sparked debate and controversy. [Photo Credit: Splash News]

According to one Gossip Girl insider:

"Blair and Nate are both at a crossroads. Blair has to accept she isn't going to Yale. Nate is being sucked into his family's expectations, and they are both there for each other and enjoy the familiarity. At first it's platonic, but, of course, that doesn't last long."

Chair fans need not worry too much, however. Even though Nate and Blair may be together for the time being, Blair and Chuck have not been forgotten.

For that matter, Gossip Girl executive producer Josh Schwartz just told the Chicago Tribune last week "We get that that [relationship] works for people."

Schwartz's partner in crime Stephanie Savage also spoke about that incriminating photo, telling EW that "I think they look really cute together kissing in the snow," but when asked what a rekindled N and B romance means for C and B, she replied "Tell those Chuck and Blair fans to hang in there."

Gossip Girl Spoilers: Nate and Blair Kissing!

This Gossip Girl spoiler, made obvious by photos of Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford filming scenes in the snow at the Duck Pond in Central Park, New York City, requires little elaboration or background info. A picture is truly worth 1,000 words if not more.

Perhaps, as hinted at in the episode synopsis for "Blair Waldorf's Day Off," Nate is driven back to Blair by Vanessa flirting with another man. Gabriel, perhaps?

Either way, there's little doubt now that these two is the "major" couple that gets back together. The only question is whether it lasts, or is just a one-shot deal.

What do you think about this development? Leave a comment below - then click to enlarge more photos of Leighton and Chace on set (and a couple featuring Zuzanna Szadkowski, who plays Dorota, for good measure as well)!

Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr Kiss at Knicks Game

Gossip Girl co-stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr attended the NBA game between the Knicks and Lakers at Madison Square Garden on Monday in New York City.

Some fans may not like the photo below, based purely on their Gossip Girl characters, but the real-life sure certainly looks pretty into each other these days ...

Last Thursday, the couple was also spotted out and about, canoodling at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ and at snuggling at Citrine during the private Kings of Leon after-party.

Krysten Ritter Cast as Lily's Sister in Gossip Girl Spinoff

The upcoming Gossip Girl spin-off has completed its first piece of casting.

Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls alumna Krysten Ritter has been tapped to play Carol, the troubled older sister of Lily van der Woodsen (Lily Rhodes) in the new show, which chronicles the teenage years of Kelly Rutherford's alter ego.

Described as a sweet girl but also a bit of a disaster, Carol is an actress who's constantly making bad decisions in both her work and personal lives.

Lily ends up moving in with Carol after a falling out with mom and dad.

Krysten Ritter of Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls and now Gossip Girl spinoff fame.

Circa '80s Lily and Carol will both be introduced in the May 11 episode of Gossip Girl, presumably through Lily's flashbacks in some form.

Meanwhile, casting for the lead role of Lily continues - and EW's Michael Ausiello says that if Gossip Girl producers Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz end up getting their first choice, there will be a lot of very happy fans out there.

Gossip Girl Spoilers: Serena, Meet Anne Hathaway

No, S won't meet the Oscar-nominated actress in person - no guest appearance by the talented and beautiful Anne Hathaway is planned this spring.

Her life has inspired an upcoming Gossip Girl plot, however!

The show is planning a season-ending story loosely inspired by the actress' infamous romance with Raffaello Follieri, a handsome Italian businessman who was convicted October on 14 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy.

On Gossip Girl, Blake Lively's Serena will play the unsuspecting ingenue who falls for a handsome European socialite - in this case a hunk named Giorgio.

No word on if Giorgio is the same character as Gabriel, only renamed, or if they are different characters entirely. We'd guess the former, as the character description below is awfully similar to the way Gabriel has been portrayed in previous reports.

Will Blake Lively's Serena van der Woodsen (left) find herself in twisted relationship similar to that of Anne Hathaway and her now-imprisoned ex, Raffaello Follieri?

Although she won't confirm or deny the story's Anne Hathaway-esque twists, Gossip Girl executive producer Stephanie Savage reveals this about Serena's beau:

"He's well-traveled, part of the global elite. Not a brooding artist like Dan or Aaron Rose. He's definitely a grown-up, and that's something Serena is attracted to."

Word is that Gossip Girl's version of the story will take a turn that is so much darker than the Hathaway saga that it ultimately puts Serena's life in danger.

Moreover, this is what triggers the return of Michelle Trachtenberg’s Georgina Sparks and casts our heroine's sworn enemy in the unlikely role of savior.

Catching Up with Blake Lively and Penn Badgley

A lucky celebrity gossip site caught up with Penn Badgley and Blake Lively at the Super Bowl last weekend to talk about Gossip Girl and its upcoming spinoff.

In this two-minute clip, the cute couple dishes a little bit on the show we all love, as well as on their relationship and the publicity they get off the set ...

Ed Westwick: A K-Swiss Classic

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick looks handsome as ever as he reclines - microphone in hand - in some new pictures from his ad campaign for the K-Swiss “Classic” shoe!

“I really enjoy being a part of this important moment for K-Swiss as they celebrate the return of an icon,” the 21-year-old who plays the great Chuck Bass said.

“I have a more traditional and classic style and tend to favor timeless pieces like these that I can wear again and again.” It's a pretty classic-looking ad:

Behind the Scenes of Gossip Girl with Leighton Meester

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and Seventeen Magazine take us behind the scenes of the hit show in this neat little three-minute video below. She's the best.

Gossip Girl S1E1 - Pilot Qoutes

Sharing is loving right?
Gossip Girl:
And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

(first line) Hey Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here, and I have the biggest news ever! Spotted: Serena, making a heroic exit from B's party. Too bad for her, there's school on Monday.
Blair:
She better not show her face again.
Chuck:
I'm actually hoping she will.
Dan:
Think I got a shot at a second date?
Serena:
I don't think you could top this one.
Dan:
Well, I did punch someone.
Serena:
You asked me out on a date and you didn't think I was nice?
Dan:
No, I just thought you were hot. And, technically, you asked me out.
Chuck:
I love freshmen. They're so...
Isabel:
Fresh?
Jenny:
Dad, you could just tell me I look nice, instead of turning this into a sermon on the passage of time.
Lily:
Why is my daughter going to one of your concerts?
Rufus:
Cause we're awesome.
Dan:
You'll really go out with some guy you don't know?
Serena:
Well, you can't be worse than the guys I do know.
Dan:
When Prince Charming found Cinderella's slipper, they didn't accuse him of having a foot fetish.
Chuck:
Let's catch up. Take our clothes off. Stare at each other. I'm gonna have to tell my parents the hotel they just bought is serving minors.
Serena:
And if you order a drink, they're also serving pigs.
Chuck:
I love it when you talk dirty.
Jenny:
Come on, Dan, Serena said hi to you at a ninth grade birthday party and you've never forgotten it.
Dan:
How could I? She was the only person who spoke to me.
Serena:
I love you, B.
Blair:
I love you, too, S.
Serena:
You're like my sister. And with our families... we need each other. How's your mom doing with the divorce.
Blair:
Great. So, my dad left her for another man. She lost 15 pounds, got an eye lift. It's been good for her.
Chuck:
So smoke up and seal the deal with Claire. Because you're also entitled the tap that ass.
Nate:
Do you ever feel like our whole lives have been planned out for us?
Jenny:
Too bad it's more than our rent. But I think I can sew something like it.

More of it here. :]

David Attending American Idol Experience Premiere

Yay, David will be attending the American Idol Experience premiere on February 12!

More than 20 American Idol luminaries will be attending next week’s premiere of the American Idol Experience attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney officials confirm. Along with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, current winner David Cook, former winners Jordin Sparks, Taylor Hicks and Carrie Underwood, and past contestants David Archuleta, Bo Bice and Justin Guarini will participate in the invitation-only festivities Thursday, Feb. 12. (The lineup, Disney reminds us, is subject to change and expand.)

Theme-park guests that day can get a glimpse of the Idol family during a motorcade at 4:30 p.m.

Yey Archie.

I don't hate Cook, I just don't like him. I can't stand him. Everytime I see his goddamn professional music video "Light On" (the thing that I really hated the most from the video is the baseball court scene, so professional that it makes me hurl.), reminds me of Archie being the 'runner-up' and not the American Idol Season 7. And no, don't you say there's no difference from it since We all can witness Archuleta's fame rising on top now. Runner up differs from American Idol. You get what I mean?

And for the record, I'm trying to like Cook since the both of them has this Brotherly love thing that is so undeniably, archu-dorable.

Don't forget to watch American Idol every Wednesdays and Thursdays on StarWorld.

I'm rooting for Michael Castro. But I heard he didn't get too far, what's wrong with the Judges?!

Trying my best to like Cook, D.

Leah is not in New Moon!

MTV has a new article about Leah not appearing until Eclipse movie:

Well, apparently the character of Leah Clearwater won’t appear until after “New Moon.”

“I’m not sure about [final] casting, but I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah [Clearwater, a werewolf],” Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote both films, told People at the 61st Annual Directors Guild of America Awards. “But at the moment, the part of Leah doesn’t happen until the third movie.”

Read it all here!

--

Man, that is sooo good to hear. But screw Vanessa for destroying such tranquility of mine. I hope she's not Leah. If she is, New Moon would be a disaster! I don't want that to happen since the story revolves around Jacob. And, argh. Back to Edward, again. -.-

Again, Screw Disney Stars.

Twilight Mania Is Unstoppable

Twilight Mania Is Unstoppable
Vampire romance has made $326M worldwide since Nov. release
By TheImproper.com

The sleeper hit Twilight continues to tear up the box office, having grossed over $326 million worldwide since its Nov. 21 U.S. release, per Box Office Mojo.

The low-budget indie flick, which was financed by fledgling film studio Summit Entertainment, was made for just $37 million. Since then, a sequel, New Moon (2009), has been greenlit with a $50 million budget and will start shooting in March 2009. And a third installment, Eclipse (2010), will be shot back-to-back with New Moon, with both films to be released in consecutive years.

Twilight, which originally started out as a cult teen phenom, has now entered mainstream popularity, making overnight sensations of its previously unknown stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Pattinson, 22, is best known for having played Cedric Diggory in the 2005 blockbuster, Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. Stewart, 18, previously starred in Into the Wild (2007), Zathura (2005) and Panic Room (2002).

As the Twilight craze hits a fever pitch, Pattinson in particular has become the subject of white-hot public fascination. Indeed, Rob recently made international headlines when he cut his hair, igniting vigorous online debates over whether he should wear it short or long.

Fortunately, the down-to-earth London native is taking his expanding public profile in stride. "It's been beyond surreal," says Pattinson. "I don't go out of my house much, so I don't notice too much of it. The paparazzi stuff is weird. It's so new still, I can't feel that jaded by it yet."

The major benefit to his newfound star power is better job opportunities. "It's nice to be on a relatively even playing field now with other people," says Rob. "A lot of the time, you can do a good audition only to be told that you're not famous or commercially viable enough to get the part." Obviously, that has now all changed.

New Moon hits theaters in November 2009.

Access Hollywood: More New Moon Info

Access Hollywood got some info about New Moon from the Twilight stars that attended the LA premiere of PUSH. Ashley Greene confirmed that there will be a yellow Porsche .

below is the FULL ARTICLE:

‘Twilight’ stars spill ‘New Moon’ details
‘I can tell you there’s a yellow Porsche,’ Ashley Greene confirms

Access Hollywood
updated 4:36 p.m. ET Jan. 30, 2009

Good news for Twi-hards; judging by the tips “Twilight” stars Ashley Greene and Kellen Lutz shared with Access Hollywood about “New Moon” on Thursday night, it sounds like the second installment in the series will remain faithful to Stephenie Meyer’s book.

“I can tell you there’s a yellow Porsche,” Greene revealed at the premiere of Dakota Fanning’s “Push,” confirming that the vehicle, which plays a special role in the “New Moon” book, will be in the movie.

“I can tell you there’s werewolves,” she added coyly. “I think (the details of ‘New Moon’ script are) kind of highly under wraps.”

Greene, who plays Alice Cullen, the sister of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson’s character, is expected to return alongside Lutz, who plays older brother Emmett Cullen.

“We are both confirmed to be a part of it,” he said before retracting only slightly. “I’m still waiting — crossing fingers.”

Both actors said they are thrilled over the return of Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, a young man/werewolf (and the best friend of Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan), to the franchise.

“I’m so proud of him,” Lutz said of the recent bulk-up Lautner underwent to secure his role in “New Moon.”

But one of their co-stars, Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent, an old-school style vampire in the series, said he actually said he saw Lautner’s transformation as it happened.

“I actually worked out with him,” Gathegi revealed to Access last night. “We were working out in Australia together and working out across the country, so I saw it happening. I was there on the front lines. He was a little shrimp and he’s somewhat of a man now.”

Gathegi who will appear in “New Moon,” told Access the film would begin shooting in early spring.

“We start shooting in March in Vancouver and in Italy,” he said.

Rob Pattinson: 'I Turned Down Edward Cullen Role'

Rob Pattinson: 'I Turned Down Edward Cullen Role'
22-year-old Brit initially disliked Twilight's improbable story line
By TheImproper.com

Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson almost made the worst mistake of his career when he initially turned down the star-making role of Edward Cullen in the hit vampire romance.

The far-fetched story of the star-crossed love between a 17-year-old human teen and a 108-year-old vampire didn't appeal to him at all. "I didn't realize [Twilight] was going to be this big," says Pattinson, 22. "I didn't want to be involved in a teen thing."

But there was more to Rob's initial reluctance than just a flimsy story line. "Mainly, I had turned it down because I was just scared about the physical aspect of it," Pattinson told Ireland's Herald.ie newspaper. "Because he had a six-pack and I didn't."

In the book, the mysterious and irresistible Edward is described as 6'2" tall, impossibly handsome, with a perfect physique. In contrast, the 6'1" Rob has little muscle tone, dislikes sports and hates working out.

The turning point came when Rob auditioned with Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan. The two stars had an immediate chemistry. Interestingly, Kristen, 18, had an even stronger reaction when she was first approached about the film: She hated it. But the actors saw more to their uni-dimensional characters and brought that depth to the big screen.

"[Rob] understood the character," says Stewart, 18. "He didn't come in and try to be this perfect-looking being. He actually looked like he was thinking about something and he actually looked at me, instead of just hoping that he looked good at that moment and was fixated on his pose. He was perfect for it."

But with a mega-successful franchise comes increased pressure and outsized expectations. Rob, who catapulted from a struggling unknown to an A-list star overnight, is well aware that he must make now good choices if he wants to maintain a long and fruitful career in fickle Hollywood.

"You really have to think quick about your next job if you want to capitalize on this kind of success," he acknowledges. "It's weird, because it feels as though it should open up options, but really it narrows them down, because you have way more to lose. It's stressful trying to find the right thing to do, if you want to have a long career."

Fortunately, the down-to-earth Brit will remain hugely popular for some time to come, thanks to the enormous built-in fan base for Twilight and its sequels, New Moon (2009), and Eclipse (2010), which will be filmed back-to-back.

The franchise's titanic success has ensured that Pattinson will be offered bigger and better roles as well as remain the subject of intense public fascination for at least a few more years.

New Moon hits theaters in November 2009.

Rob Pattinson Thinks He's "Really Not That Interesting

TheImproper.com has a pretty interesting article with the one and only Robert Pattinson, who happens to think he's "not that interesting." I think some people beg to differ! Lol, read this..

Some very insightful words from Robert:

I don’t like the way the film industry is," he says. "If you come with a good script and then it goes to the studios and gets financing, it all gets changed because they want to make money. And it’s like, how do you know if it’s going to make money or not? All you’re doing is making it generic when you do that, and making it generic is no guarantee that it’s going to make money, either."

COMPLETE ARTiCLE:

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson is the object of obsession for millions of young fans around the globe, but the modest actor doesn't understand all the hype.

"Honestly, I’m not that interesting," says Rob, 22. In his spare time, he prefers low-key activities to going out. "I watch movies, I read, I play all kinds of music."

Pattinson, who plays the guitar and piano and composes music, has been relaxing in his hometown of London since Dec. 22, where he has been spotted playing small gigs on the local music scene.

In March, Rob's free time will disappear, when he starts shooting New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. New Moon will be filmed in Vancouver and Italy, and will be produced on an aggressive schedule, shooting back-to-back with Eclipse, the third installment in the Twi book series.

Since Twilight morphed into a box-office juggernaut, Rob has become one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood—a role the private British hunk is not altogether comfortable with.

"I’ve been getting recognized since the day I finished shooting [Twilight]," he says. "It’s crazy. In L.A., someone spots me almost every single day." The paparazzi's sudden obsession with Rob is part of the reason he prefers hanging out in London when he's not working. There, Rob is much less of a paparazzi target than in the U.S., where his fan base has grown enormously over the past few months.

"I’ve been uncomfortable in crowds my whole life," he says. "I’ve always felt that everyone is looking at me," he laughs. "I could be in a supermarket and have a full-on panic attack when there’s no one else there. And this was even like five years ago, when nobody knew who I was!"

Hollywood superstardom is something the single Rob will have to get used to for at least the next few years, when the Twilight machine continues to rage on. Meanwhile, the 6'1" heartthrob has other projects he'll be promoting. On March 27, his indie flick Little Ashes (which he did before Twilight) will debut in theaters. In the artsy film, Pattinson portrays the eccentric Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali--just the kind of meaty role he relishes.

Rob, who is very serious about being a good actor, may one day branch out with his own production company. Pattinson, who has already written several scripts, is leery of the money-obsessed Hollywood film industry.

"I don’t like the way the film industry is," he says. "If you come with a good script and then it goes to the studios and gets financing, it all gets changed because they want to make money. And it’s like, how do you know if it’s going to make money or not? All you’re doing is making it generic when you do that, and making it generic is no guarantee that it’s going to make money, either."

Given Rob's talent and increasing star power, it's foreseeable he may one day be able to make the kinds of films he envisions. "The only way to [do] that is to take risks," he says. "And you need to be able to trust people. So you get a company together with people you know are good and you know work hard and you can make good stuff. That’s kind of what I want to do."
